David B. Silipigno Foundation Encourages Children To Participate In Recreational Activities

David Silipigno is an entrepreneur and also a well known humanitarian. He is a lifelong resident of Saratoga Springs and has greatly contributed to help its youth and children. The story of his life and works is quite impressive.

To start with, at the mere age of nineteen David Silipigno ventured into business. By the time he was in his mid twenties, he was successful, popular and had about 600 employees working for him. His first business venture was the National Finance Corp. (NFC) which was based on call center dealings for businesses. NFC created vast employment opportunities for Saratoga youth as the company progressed.

David Silipigno believes that a successful person should be grateful towards people who have helped him/her in any aspect of life. This thought of his has extensively helped him gain people's respect and successes in his ventures. After NFC, he founded five more businesses namely First Guarantee Mortgage, Saratoga Venture Capital, The Principal Commercial, Industry Partners Title and Saratoga Studios.

However, his interests in charitable works led him to found David B. Silipigno Foundation. This foundation works for the benefits of underprivileged children by providing them many positive opportunities to improve their living standards. David B. Silipigno Foundation provides emotional and social support to underprivileged children who are vulnerable in the society. It also helps in boosting their confidence by encouraging them to participate in events and recreational activities. The foundation has organized and funded various events like The Future's Tournament, The Northeast Family, LARKfest, PAWS For a Cause, 2007 Albany Tulip festival etc.

For David B. Silipigno Foundation's charitable deeds, David Silipigno has been honored with many awards. Last year he received 'The Spirit of Service' honor presented by The Arthritis Foundation for his constant commitment and dedication. He was also honored by the 'Albany Academy For Girls' by naming a new athletic facility after his name.
