David Silipigno- A Saratoga County Based Philanthropist and Entrepreneur

David Silipigno is a Saratoga County based well known philanthropist and entrepreneur. He is the owner of David B. Silipigno Foundation which works for the upliftment of poor and needy children. This foundation offers social and emotional support to at-risk children and seeks to fund programs and charitable trusts that work to ensure the safety of such children. It has funded various events like The Future's Tournament, The Northeast Family, LARKfest, PAWS For a Cause, 2007 Albany Tulip festival and many more. Besides this, it also provides annual funds to various organizations like Arthritis Foundation, Saratoga Center for Family, Catholic Charities, Mental Health Foundation, YMCA of Saratoga and many others.

He started his career as an entrepreneur at the age of nineteen and by the time he reached at his mid 20's, he had almost 600 employees working for him. National Financial Corp. (NFC) was the first firm established by him and it provided great employment opportunities to the youth in and around the areas of Saratoga County. It was also among those few companies which initiated the approach of call centre towards business. Currently, David Silipigno is the consultant and/or founder of five area businesses Principal Commercial, First Guarantee Mortgage, Industry Partners Title, Saratoga Venture Capital and Saratoga Studios.

David Silipigno encourages his staff to donate for noble causes as he believes that every successful person should donate for the upliftment of the weaker section of the society. He has been awarded many times for his dedication towards the betterment of society. On March 7, 2009, he was honored with the "Spirit Of Service" by John and Christine Colley, who had previously chaired The Arthritis Foundation and has also been honored by the Albany Academy for Girls as they named a new athletic facility after his name.
